This blog is in honor of St. Matthias who replaced the traitor, Judas, as the 12th Apostle; it is also a follow-up to a recent conversation…
Despite my efforts to convey to a woman that the Novus Ordo sect is not Catholic, she remains steadfast in her beliefs. She shared that there must have been something that happened to me that prompted the practicing of my Faith at home. Indeed, there were many things (the following list conveys only a portion)! That said, the main factor for staying home is obedience to what the true Popes have said in their papal encyclicals.
At St. Teresa of Avila Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (infancy – 4th grade):
When receiving “First Holy Communion,” no Scapular was given.
Can something given by the Blessed Virgin ever be ignored?
My communion dress had a hem at mid-thigh.
I guess the revolt of the 60’s had overflowed into the church!
The original Perrysville Avenue church was replaced with a modern one on the lower grounds; the old church is now a reception hall.
…so very sad that a consecrated building is now given to such a purpose!
At. St. Sebastian School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (5th – 8th grade):
Religion classes didn’t inform students of the Scapular of Our Lady.
Nuns wore black dresses to the knee.
More updating with the times…
My Confirmation sponsor wasn’t Catholic.
How can a non-Catholic teach what he/she does not know?
Students were allowed to read the Epistle at weekday school masses.
At St. Sebastian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (5th – 12th grade):
The tabernacle was on the right of the altar and on a level below the presider.
Folk masses were held at 11:30 (accompanied by guitars & tambourines).
John 23rd’s missalettes were in the pews.
What happened to the Roman Missals?
CCD (Catholic Christian Doctrine) classes were taught by the laity.
Those in the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) group were allowed to address the priest sponsor as Father Al (vs. Father McGinnis).
Does this show proper reverence to a minister of God?
The annual CYO play was choreographed by a Jewish woman; an overnight outing for youth had both boys & girls sleeping on the floor in the same room.
So much for the near occasion of sin!
At St. Patrick’s Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado (2008-2012)
Father Larry shared in the confessional that contraception was OK.
How can this ever be OK in the Catholic Church?
After learning about the Scapular on my own, I asked if I could place one in the hand of Our Lady of Grace’s statue in the church (there was a Rosary hanging from her other hand); I was told by the office staff that Father Larry declined because it would offend the statue’s artist.
Are you kidding me!!!
I witnessed Father Mike take off a chasuble on the altar at the end of a “mass”; underneath he had on one with Denver Bronco colors, to which the congregation applauded.
Is this supposed to happen in the house of Our Lord?
In a conversation with Father Mike, he knew nothing about the liquification of St. Januarius’ blood.
How is it that a lay person knows more about the Faith than a priest?
There was no communion rail (with kneelers).
In receiving the Holy Eucharist, shouldn’t we be on our knees in due reverence?
Only hymnals were in the pews (no Roman Missals, nor even missalettes).
As they pray, so they believe…
Women were allowed on the altar to read the Epistle.
This contradicts 1 Corinthians 14:34-35!
Women did not wear veils.
This doesn’t align with 1 Corinthians 11:5-10!
McNicholas High School in Cincinnati, Ohio (2017 onward)
Some girls had uniform skirts to a length between their mid-thigh and buttocks.
So much for modesty and not creating scandal!
At Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cincinnati, Ohio
The tabernacle was relegated to a side chapel where it couldn’t be seen by any of the congregation where “masses” were said.
Refresh my memory… who are we there to worship and adore?
Indeed, Christ's Mystical Body is experiencing Its passion as Christ its Head did. As can be seen above, these modern traitors have caused much confusion for the Faithful, and have wreaked havoc by infiltrating Christ’s Bride, the Church.
CALL TO ACTION: Beware of the plethora of wolves in sheep’s clothing!
