On this feast of Christ the King, I’m sharing two thoughts that occurred while praying the Litany of the Saints…

  •  We pray…  “That thou wouldst give peace and true concord to all Christian kings and princes.”  Well, where are these Christian kings and princes in our world today?  They obviously have been eliminated throughout Europe.  The prominent “royal family” on the island is not Christian; rather, it is affiliated with Freemasonry.
  • We pray…  “That thou wouldst preserve our Apostolic prelate and all orders of the Church in holy religion.”  If Holy Mother Church prays the above, then She must have foreseen a time when there would be no valid priests to offer the Holy Sacrifice -- leaving us with only Our Eternal High Priest to shepherd His people.  If we would always have valid priests and valid orders, then why pray this?

To me, both petitions imply a time when the Faithful will have neither Christian monarchies nor valid Catholic clergy on earth.  Thankfully, Pope Pius XI instituted this day, making it clear that Christ is both King of kings and eternal High Priest forever!
